Wordtracker Ups It's Game

Being a Keyword Research nutter, I have long been a fan of Wordtracker even though I’ve been a heavy user of Market Samurai for about 6 months now.

I had the pleasure of meeting of Wordtracker’s founder Mike Mindel at Ken McCarthy’s System Intensive in London last year. Mike is a fascinating character who not only owns one of the oldest keyword research tools on earth (wordtracker is 10 years old), but has also written a book about how to finish your novel and runs a very funky club in Soho (www.jumpstartyournovel.com and www.wambamclub.com). He is also an excellent speaker and should be petitioned to do more!

Wordtracker was a revelation when I first started using it about 5 years ago, and it certainly helped me to capture many long tail keywords and dominate different niches. I’m really pleased that their strategy for improving the service is do do what all smart marketers know how to do: ask the market.

You can read more about their update here

PS Just got these tweets from Mike. Must get my facts straight (note to self:-)

> do the marketing for it. Also I help run the wambamclub.com with partners Benet & Alex – rather than run it by myself. cheers mate!

> thanks for the nice writeup mark. But you could just change the post to say that Benet Simon (my writing colleague) wrote Jumpstart not me

    Hey, Mark.

I’ve used Wordtracker too for years. Great tool.

    Have you tried WordStream yet?

IMO, we’ve taken keyword research to the next level.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

    Thanks,
    Ken
