No feature.

No response mechanism.
No sense whatsoever.
Who are the biggest idiots here? The “creative” agency that dreamed this shit up, or the Yahoo! employee that commissioned it?

I’m with Mark or so far out of the target market that I’m incapable of getting it. It says absolutely nothing to me. If it’s not only advertising Yahoo! what else is it advertising … … space invaders?

Sometimes a very sutble advertising approach can be effective if it is, for example, funny enough to be remembered. Having said that the design of this advert is pretty poor and I’m inclined to agree that it’s money down the drain as far as Yahoo! is concerned.
